A bizarre shape-shifting Alienlike creature was recorded at the bottom of the ocean (video)
A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) captured this video at a depth of 3753 feet in the Indian Ocean, near a drill wellhead.
Alien-like creatures become engrossed in the ROV thrusters’ success towards the end of the video. The video was shot off the east coast of Africa and has not been edited.
This enigmatic alien is unquestionably the planet’s most dangerous living creature. It’s probably a comb jelly, according to marine biologist Bill Austin (ctenophore).
It was described as a lobate Lampocteis ctenophore by George Matsumoto, a ctenophore (comb jelly) specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Research Institute.
Comb jellies are jellyfish-like species that float in pairs or rows due to their cilia. Cilia strips extend the length of the outer bodies of certain comb jellies.
Comb jellies are hunters in general. Only comb jellies squirt glue onto their prey using specially modified “colloblast” cells.
