Another high altitude ka52 helicopter was downed
On July 25th, Ukrainian paratroopers took down a new Russian Ka-52 Alligator helicopter using an Igla man-portable air defense system (MANPADS).
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook
“Paratroopers of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade successfully downed a Russian Ka-52 Alligator by Igla MANPADS,” the report reads.
The General Staff added that the cost of such a helicopter is about $16 million.

Ka-52 Combat Scout Attack Helicopter is designed for destruction of tanks, armored and non-armored vehicles, enemy’s manpower and adversary helicopters in the front line or in tactical depth.
